The shocking news that Ford’s government has fired the entire board of RECO—the Real Estate Council of Ontario—isn’t a solution. It’s a cynical, power-grabbing cover-up, a desperate attempt to hide the rot at the core of his administration. This isn’t governance; it’s a political hit job disguised as accountability, and every Ontarian who has ever dreamed of owning a home should be seething with rage.

The “iPro” Scandal: A Bottomless Pit of Greed

For those who missed it, the scandal revolves around iPro Realty Ltd., a brokerage that allegedly funneled millions in illegal referral fees, skirting regulations designed to protect consumers. An internal RECO investigation was blocked, whistleblowers were silenced, and a cloud of corruption hung over the regulator meant to police the very industry exploiting us.
