Bonnie Crombie announces ‘F Trump Fund,’ challenges Ford to a push-up contest
Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie had an eventful press conference in Mississauga on Monday, as Ontario leaders campaign across the province ahead of the February 27 election.
After a rocky start — Crombie began her address to an empty room, and 25 minutes later repeated the same opening — she said her party has created a “fight tariff fund, the FTF.”
“Or the F Trump fund too, however you want to take it,” said Crombie.
President Donald Trump has put Canada on notice for 25% tariffs on all Canadian goods exported to the US as of March due to Canada’s porous border and fentanyl issues.
Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie, asked about how she would deal with tariffs, talked about her party’s “fight tariff fund” or FTF.
She said the acronym could also stand for “F Trump fund” #onpoli #onelxn pic.twitter.com/EFKqQ8dtuz

Crombie at the same presser challenged Premier Doug Ford, leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives, to a duel.
“I’m happy to challenge him anytime on his turf or in mine,” she said.
“And my turf is the gym, so if he wants to come at me, and we’ll have a competition in the gym, and maybe we’ll do push-ups.”
So Bonnie Crombie had a press conference this morning that no one attended so she held the exact presser 20 minutes later. Yikes. pic.twitter.com/we3Rr3rcpE

And,
The Supreme Court of Canada is distancing itself away from Twitter. Here’s its statement.
Trump pushes 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico to April 2
U.S. President Donald Trump has pushed back tariffs on Canada and Mexico for another month, saying they will now be implemented on April 2.
This delay comes two days after Trump said the 25 per cent tariffs would be moving ahead on March 4.
He made the statement as Trump held his first cabinet meeting Wednesday in Washington.
Next week or April? Trump muddies waters on tariff threats against Canada
Canadian officials and premiers have been cycling through Washington in recent weeks in an attempt to find out what it would take to get Trump to abandon his tariff plans.
But it remains unclear what Trump wants as the president continues to complain about trade and call for Canada to become a U.S. state.
Lat but not least, some self-pacifying BS…
Canada looks to shift intelligence sharing from U.S. as Washington diverges on foreign affairs
‘Because of the U.S. changing positions on engagement in the world — and particularly when it comes to Ukraine — it is impacting the relationship lots of countries have with the U.S.’
OTTAWA — Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says Ottawa wants to deepen intelligence sharing with European partners, as longtime ally Washington diverges from Canada on issues like Ukraine.
“We’re now living in a much more dangerous and complicated world,” Joly told reporters Monday. “It’s in full display.”
Joly was speaking at a virtual news conference from London after talking to U.K. National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell.
