With the encouragement and support of my mother, Councillor Jaye Robinson, I am
honoured to announce my candidacy for the Ward 15, Don Valley West, Toronto City
Council seat that has been vacant since her passing.

 

My mother devoted her entire career serving the City of Toronto. For the last 14
years, my involvement in her City Councillor campaigns and community initiatives
has given me a deep appreciation for the many ways an elected official and the
community can work together to address community concerns and move
neighbourhoods and the city forward. During this time her passion and commitment
was focused on:

 

• neighbourhood based planning;
• road and community safety;
• traffic congestion and public transit;
• park and green space preservation; and
• fostering city arts, culture and local business;
all with a deep commitment to fiscal responsibility.

 

These will be my priorities as well.

 

She left a legacy of integrity, fiscal responsibility, and genuine care for the people
and neighbourhoods she represented. I have been lucky to have lived in Ward 15,
Don Valley West, my entire life, and I am committed to continuing the values and
initiatives Jaye Robinson stood for. I am here to ensure that her passion, vision, and
priorities remain a guiding force in the Ward and across the city.

 

Like my mother, I will not be affiliated with, or seek endorsement from, any politician
or political party. This is because my commitment is only to the residents of this
great ward, regardless of their provincial or federal political affiliation or leaning.

With a strong focus on transparency and community consultation, I am here to
represent you, the people of Ward 15, ensuring your voice is heard, understood and
acted on without political biases or influence.

 

My top priority is to be a strong independent voice and dedicated servant for this
community, just as my mother was. With your support we can continue to build on
her remarkable work and shape a brighter future for Toronto and Ward 15, Don
