Building Crimes BUSTED
Toronto Fire Chief Jim Jessop reveals what keeps the Thorncliffe Park buildings burning — ILLEGAL COMBUSTIBLE PARTICLE BOARD (between buildings that’s not accessible by firemen — yet another crime!)

The London’s Grenfell Tower Infermo killed 72 people with combustible cladding, and this may also be the reason why 150 people are burnt alive in Hong Kong so far.

A CITY BETRAYED: The Murderous Corruption of Toronto’s Administration Under Olivia Chow Exposed by Thorncliffe Park Inferno
By Eddie Hardie 🍁 Integrity Canada
Toronto is not just burning. It is being burned alive by the very administration sworn to protect it. The relentless, days-long inferno at Thorncliffe Park is not a tragic accident—it is a crime scene. And the confessions are coming from the top.
As reported by CBC, Toronto Fire Chief Jim Jessop has revealed the shocking cause: “combustible particle board that was placed between an expansion joint” connecting the two buildings. For those who understand building safety, this statement is not a technical explanation; it is a death warrant signed by the City of Toronto!
This is not negligence. This is premeditated, murderous corruption.
The Law is Explicit – And Was Deliberately Shattered
Let us be unequivocal: what allowed this fire to smolder for nearly a week, displacing hundreds, is illegal. The Ontario Building Code is crystal clear:
-
Combustible Materials are FORBIDDEN in such construction. The code mandates non-combustible construction for high-rise residential buildings. Former Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg has publicly affirmed this: “the actual design and construction of high rise residential buildings are built out of materials that don’t burn.” Using particle board—a known combustible material—in a critical fire separation is not a “oops”; it is a wilful violation.
-
Spatial Separation is REQUIRED to prevent fire spread. The code mandates specific distances between buildings to create fire breaks. Packing a joint with wood instead of maintaining this separation is an act of criminal recklessness.
These rules exist for one reason: to prevent Grenfell Tower from happening here.
The Grenfell Parallel: We Were Warned
Remember the haunting images of London’s Grenfell Tower in 2017? 72 people killed. The culprit? Combustible cladding. The public inquiry revealed a litany of ignored warnings, cost-cutting, and regulatory failure.
Toronto’s administration, under Mayor Olivia Chow and her predecessors, has received the same warnings. Articles like “Why London Inferno Will Happen in Toronto” have circulated for years, pointing directly to systemic corruption in the City’s building department. The Canuck 🍁 Post has documented specific, unaddressed violations, such as the illegal wooden fencing attached to buildings at 15 Rutherglen Road—a blatant fire hazard the City has ignored.

Illegal Extension – Fire Hazards

The Thorncliffe Park fire is Grenfell in slow motion. The only reason we are not counting bodies is sheer luck and the heroic efforts of firefighters battling a blaze the City’s corruption designed to be unstoppable.
A Culture of Corruption: Your Safety Was Sold for Profit
How does combustible particle board end up sealed between two buildings? It doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through:
-
Corrupt inspections: A municipal inspector looks the other way.
-
Fraudulent permits: Approvals are rubber-stamped for connected developers.
- Cost-cutting malice: A builder saves pennies by using illegal, deadly materials, confident the “fix is in.”
This is not a “lapse.” It is a system. In this case, the Chief Building Official’s office stands accused of being a cartel that trades human lives for kickbacks and political favor. When the rule of law—which exists solely to protect the individual—is replaced by the whims of corrupt officials, the result is a city-wide death trap.
The Absurd, The Scandalous, The Betrayal
Consider the stunning absurdity: The City of Toronto has climate change plans, “Vision Zero” for roads, and endless virtue-signaling policies. Yet, its very buildings are secretly packed with kindling. It would be laughable if it weren’t so evil.
The betrayal is visceral. Residents pay some of the highest property taxes in the world, trusting that their homes are safe. Instead, Mayor Olivia Chow’s administration—and those before her—have knowingly housed them in potential funeral pyres. The emotional reaction is not just upset; it is raw, justified rage. You have been lied to, cheated, and endangered by the people you pay to protect you.
The Hong Kong Warning
As of this writing, the Hong Kong building inferno has killed over 150 people so far. We bring it up because in Toronto, the timer is still ticking. Thorncliffe Park is just the first domino. How many other buildings have been signed off with illegal, combustible materials lurking in their walls? The City knows. And it is doing nothing.
Accountability or Anarchy
This is not a political disagreement. This is criminal negligence causing danger to life, and it may well meet the threshold for manslaughter or worse. The perpetrators—the inspectors, the approving managers, the politicians who enabled this culture—must face prosecution and prison.
If Mayor Olivia Chow has one shred of integrity left, she will:
-
Immediately launch a criminal investigation into the entire Building Department.
-
Resign for presiding over this catastrophic failure of public trust.
If she does not, she is complicit.
Toronto, you are not safe in your own home. Your anger is your survival instinct. Direct it.

The smoke over Thorncliffe Park is not just from burning wood. It is the smoke of a corrupt city administration burning its own people. We will not be next.
